Exercise – Build a Loving Relationship with Your Body & Yourself

THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP OF ALL
When we think ‘Relationships’ we usually imagine the people around us, friends, family, partners. Surely though, the most important relationship of all is the one we have with ourselves. Who do you spend the most time with, wake up with, spend your whole day with? What is your relationship with yourlself like, how do you speak to yourself and how do you feel about yourself when you are by yourself?
HOW?
Building a healthy and loving relationship with ourselves is a life-long journey, with days that make us smaile and others that teach us to be stronger. What makes the difference? Small daily habits.
Building trust in ourselves, doing something daily that is good for our bodies and minds. Here are some of my favourite tools:
* A morning walk
* Going out into nature
* Singing to myself really loud
* Meditation
* Yoga
* A mindful workout routine
* Meeting with friends
* Laughing for no reason
* Feeding the neighbour’s cat and giving it cuddles

EXERCISE TO LOVE YOURLSEF MORE
When we fail to move our bodies not only do we stiffen up, lose strength and stamina and muscle mass. The human body is made to move and when we don’t it affects everything, from our digestion, how we absorb nutrients, our production of neurotransmitters (the chemicals that make us feel good), our sleep and our intuitive understanding of what our body needs.
Exercise, movement, dance, yoga, walking, they all help us connect with our bodies and improve all of the above mentioned. When we connect and listen, we start to understand the language our bodies speaks, which has a knock-on effect on what we chose to eat, how we feel about ourselves, the choices we make on a day-today basis.

EXERCISE IS ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN 6 PACK ABS!
Of course when exercising regularly, we can enjoy the change in our physique but it is so much more than that. It makes us feel good, move more freely, seek better relationships with others, the list goes on and on.
