Eat to feel good, how to choose antioxidant rich foods

Natural colours in your fruits and vegetables are a sign of the antioxidants content they have.

Orange/yellow = betacarotene
Red = lycopene
Purple = anthocyanin
Green = chloroyphll
Red = Lycopene
An antioxidant that helps keep your heart healthy, protects against some cancers and helps protect the skin from sunburn
Orange/Yellow = Beta-Carotene
An antioxidant that, when digested, is converted into vitamin A, contributing to healthy skin, eyes and a strong immune system.
Green = Chlorophyll
An antioxidant that works together with other vitamins and minerals to help the body protect itself against cancer.
Blue/Purple = Anthocyanin
An antioxidant that can help boost the immune system and reduce the risk of cancer.
Eat with your eyes, eat food that gives you energy and makes you feel really good rather than food that leaves you feeling heavy and lethargic afterwards. During winter you can cook the same rainbow for a lovely warm, roasted salad.
